E.T. for atari 2600. i understand, videogaming was in it's infant stages then, and E.T. was a big movie, but cmon. you fall in a hole, trying to find pieces of the phone to call home, then you spend 3 hours trying to get out of the hole. screw horror films, THAT'S WHAT I CALL SUSPENSE.

Re: this one tops the list
Mon, November 15, 2004 - 2:02 AMI tried so many times to like this game. I too thought that perhaps I just wasn't good enough to figure this one out. I feel so much better now...
I think though that I might hate Indiana Jones more than E.T. simply because I played this one waaaaay more. I seem to remember falling down a hole in that one over and over again.

Re: this one tops the list
Mon, January 10, 2005 - 11:22 AMI was maybe 10 when I got ET for xmas. Of course it's a boring game from an adult standpoint, but keep in mind it WAS made for little tykes. Call me psycho, but I remember enjoying it at that age. -

Re: this one tops the list
Mon, January 10, 2005 - 3:52 PMI seem to remember even beating the game and sending ET home? Multiple times.
IMO, ET isn't much worse than Atari's Pac-man. -

Re: this one tops the list
Wed, January 12, 2005 - 4:58 PMIt's horrible.
Rumor has it that Todd Frye created a demo mock up of Pac-man on the 2600 to show the big wigs at Atari. It was only a proof of concept but they decided to ship it more or less as it was.
See the Atari 2600's Ms. Pac-man if you want to know how good it could have been.

Thu, February 24, 2005 - 1:43 AMim a regular at my local goodwill and i saw this game in the electrionics rack for some 9 months i alwayus grabed any game but this i knew how bad this game was ...it dissapeared into the abyss of blenders for a while and when i came in one day it was handed to me by the "manager" and was told to keep it out of his sight for all eternity...it took him five minutes and some 35 dolleres of other merchidise to get me to take the game... he was sick of seeing it ...really sick....probably as sick as i am that i actually accepted thew game
